FAQ

If your question is not answered in the following FAQs, please contact us and we will get back to you within a few hours.

What's the difference between free and paid versions?
The free Bugbox Lite version is a limited time preview of the full functionality of Bugbox. The idea is to give you an opportunity to try Bugbox risk-free, and then if you find it useful you can buy the paid version, or you can contact us to get a Bugbox Enterprise license that will cover every JIRA user in your organization.
Does Bugbox support SSL certificates? Including self-signed ones? What about HTTP Basic Auth? And does Bugbox work if my JIRA is behind a firewall?
Yes, yes, yes & yes!
What JIRA versions are supported?
Bugbox works with JIRA 4.0 and later.
Can I update issues using Bugbox?
Absolutely! You can reassign, resolve, reopen, edit summary and add a comment to an issue. Future Bugbox versions will add more detailed issue update functionality such as add / edit / remove keywords, milestones, priority, and severity.
How is Bugbox so much faster than Safari?
Bugbox downloads issues to your smartphone, and uses a background thread to keep this local copy in sync with the JIRA server. You always interact with this local copy, so you can browse issues at light speed regardless of the quality of your network connection.
How long does the initial issue download take? And how long does each sync take?
The initial issue download after install takes 2-3 minutes on Wi-Fi. Each subsequent sync takes 10-30 seconds, depending upon the number of new issues.
Is there a way to view a particular issue in a web page from within Bugbox?
Yes. At the bottom of each issue view there is a link called Web View. Click on it to see the issue exactly as you would in a browser.
